The Dinner Ladies is a home food delivery service, providing delicious frozen meals direct to your door. We create meals that taste like homemade (but maybe even better!), so you don’t have to. About the role:
The position of Kitchen Hand is responsible for the preparation and batching of food, the packing, and unpacking of food, and for the general cleanliness of the kitchen as directed by Kitchen Manager. The duties include:
Ensuring the cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of all kitchen equipment and utensils within the workstation.
Ensuring efficient production of consistently high-quality products.
Preparing and batching ingredients for cooking and packing as directed by Kitchen Manager
Following recipes to the letter.
Learn all procedures and protocols of preparation, packing, and chilling of products.
Compliance with The Dinner Ladies Food Safety program.
Adhering to HACCP quality standards.
Undertake other kitchen hand duties as directed by Kitchen Manager.
You will need
Work rights to work in Australia (permanent residents will be preferred but not essential)
Due to operational requirements, this role requires applicants to have unrestricted working rights in Australia. Unfortunately, we are not currently in a position to provide visa sponsorship.
Communication: the ability to communicate well, clearly and concisely
Experience as a kitchen attendant/kitchen hand or similar role
Understand and follow health and safety procedures
Time management/organisation: Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Hardworking, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
Teamwork: Willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members
Able to lift 10kg to 20kg

Full-Time, Permanent Positions
AM Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
PM Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Includes 30-minute unpaid lunch break
